Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire national park
Distance covered: 130 km
Time approx: 4 hrs

After breakfast the tour departs. First stop in Arusha town for any last minute purchase before we head off on safari. Afterward we head towards the Tarangire national park. Tarangire is well known forits huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the centre of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 300 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras. Day 2: Tarangire Area to Lake Manyara national park
Distance covered: 50 km
Time approx: 2-3 hrs

After lunch the tour depart to the lake Manyara national park variety of habitats. Acacia woodlands, water forest, baobab, strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot spring, swamps and the lake itself. And thanks to this the small park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible birdlife. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world and the lions here are also renowned for their tree climbing.

Day 3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti national park
Distance covered: 205 km
Time approx: 6 hrs

After breakfast, you will travel via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti and at midday you will reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park. This park is the largest in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes – short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen. The Serengeti is famous for the yearly migration when hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras trek to find fresh grass and water.

Day 4: Serengeti national park

Your Serengeti adventures continue with full day game drive as you explore deep into the heart of the park. If you are on the hunt for the big 5 then the Serengeti vast, fertile expanse is the perfect territory as lion, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinos can be found. If you know where to look! Our expert guides have years of experience and known the park inside out so you can simply relax, enjoy the African landscapes and the magnificence of wildlife.

Day 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – KARATU AREA
Distance covered: 145 km
Time approx: 4 hrs

On your outward journey to the park gate, you will enjoy some more game viewing before you leave the Serengeti National Park in the early afternoon to continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As soon as you reach the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, you will see the giant caldera below – a breath-taking view. You will leave the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and drive to Karatu in the Ngorongoro highlands. Here you will join a walk in the coffee plantation to learn more about the cultivation and processing of coffee.

Day 6: NGORONGORO CRATER – KARATU AREA

After breakfast you drive for 25-minute Ngorongoro conservation and drive 600m down the crater for game. The massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – to spotted hyenas, rare warthogs, and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After an extensive game drive and a picnic for lunch at hippo pool, you will leave the caldera in the late afternoon and return to your lodge in Karatu.

Day 7: NGORONGORO HIGHLAND - ARUSHA TOWN

After a leisurely breakfast, you will have a local tour to village around a highland of Karatu. The tour can either be a walking tour or bicycle tour either in the ridge of Great rift valley or along the Ngorongoro forest line. In the afternoon you will travel back to Arusha where you will arrive around late afternoon.

Departure from Tanzania.

We will transfer you back to Kilimanjaro international airport in good time for your return flight. Your experience has taken you on an extraordinary journey of African wildlife discovery.
