Day 2: Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater
Distance covered: 145 km
Time approx: 4 hrs

The day begins in the central Serengeti where you will have an opportunity to view game. Lunch will be served in the park before we proceed to the Ngorongoro crater. The Ngorongoro crater has a diverse ecological system that includes lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalos, zebra, wildebeest, elands, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos and antelopes. There are migrant birds from Eurasia and African birds such as vultures, storks and flamingos. Day 3: Ngorongoro crater to Arusha Town

We will have early departure from camp to ensure that we will arrive at the Ngorongoro crater promptly. We will descend into the crater as our game drive with a picnic lunch is inside the crater. The Ngorongoro crater is an immense, unbroken caldera that was formed when a volcano erupted millions of years ago. The elevated structure encourages the animals subside within the crater which means there is a high possibility of spotting every member of the `the big 5’. The powerful group comprises of buffalo, lions, rhinos, elephant and leopards. You can expect to see other wildlife including zebra, hippos, wildebeest and hyenas. The flamingos will lounge gracefully on the banks of the soda lake whilst the vultures can be found scavenging for the discarded prey of a predator. Gees and storks are amongst some of the other bird’s species. Our guides are highly skilled and their ability to track down animals is impressive. This levels an end in the late afternoon and we will proceed to Arusha transportation to the hotel or airport.
